By ladies night I mean discussing poets who identify with the female gender of course. Some suggestions were Mary Ruefle, Lisel Mueller, Kay Ryan, Rae Armentrout, Jane Hirshfield, but let's not limit ourselves to the old guard - how about younger women making a poetry impact as well - Kate Tempest or Patricia Lockwood perhaps. Find some unique talent to share with the group to expand our poetry horizons.

Your mission this week, find some awesome female poets, bring some of their work to share and, after learning from them, create your own poems.

Be sure to bring 8-10 copies to share.
