This week bring in a favorite (or most hated) poem by Charles Bukowski - or perhaps one of each. Try to write a Bukowski-esque poem and bring it in to share. At the start of the meetup we will discuss Bukowski, his poems and the idea of separating poems from their creators. Does it help to know a poet's personal history, the historical time period, should all poets attempt to create a cult status in their society, or should poems just be able to stand on their own?

And as always, we will spend time writing, sharing, and workshopping.

Remember when you bring in your own poetry to discuss - please bring in 6-8 copies to share.
